In Asia, autumn is awesome! In the northern regions, where broad-leaf forests are plenty, it is the time for probably the most beautiful autumn foliage colors in the world. Japan and Korea are both very popular during this time of the year, and hiking through the beautifully colored forests is a must-do! Autumn is also the time of peak travel season in China, and Sichuan province is another great place to enjoy the autumn colors. In north-western China, it is great time to travel along the Silk Road. In South-East Asia (Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar), temperatures are slowly winding down, and the summer rains slowly disappear, marking the beginning of the travel season. For those accurately timing their travel plans, there is great chance to see the Golden Rice and rice harvest in southern China and northern Vietnam and Laos. In Mongolia the Eagle Trainers are getting ready for their annual Golden Eagle Festival, and in Bhutan the monks are getting ready for the autumn festivals being celebrated in monasteries throughout the country. In Nepal the trekking season begins, and overall, this is a great season to get your packs ready, and fly out east. No matter where you land, there is an adventure awaits you!
